Lt. Charles W Reed, Corpus Christi, TX, 63rd Fighter Squadron. P-47C 41-6367 UN-X. The photograph shows a belly-landing by Lt Reed on 20 December 1943 at Dunwich on the Suffolk coast. 41-6367 was repaired and eventually transferred to the 495th FTG, 552nd FTS at Atcham, where it was lost on 25 May 1944; the pilot Gale E Carson being killed in the crash.
