Capt. Robert J "Shorty" Rankin, Washingon, DC. 61st Fighter Squadron. P-47D 42-74662 HV-H "Wicked Wacker Weegie". The name was derived from "Wicked Wacker" being the power of the P-47 and "Weegie" Capt. Rankin's nickname for his wife Louise.
