Lt.Col. Elwyn G Rhigetti. HQ Unit. P-51D 44-72227 CL-M "Katydid". Seen here with his Crew Chief, T/Sgt. Millard F Easton, Col. Rhigetti was Group Commanding Officer when he was lost with this a/c on 17 April 1945. Hit by flak near Dresden, he bellied-in and was killed by German civilians.
