Lt. Robert C Smith, Clio, MI, 364th Fighter Squadron. P-51B C5-# “Papp’s Answer”. Serial # and code letter currently unknown. It has been suggested that this a/c might have been 43-6813 C5-E but that does not fit in with the known timescale for that a/c. Lt. Transferred to the 339th FG on 1 June 1944 and was KIA on his first mission with them on 8 June.
