Lt. Howard E Moebius, Milwaukie, WI, 364th Fighter Squadron. Lt Moebius’s assigned a/c is currently unknown. He evaded capture after falling victim to friendly fire during the Arnhem operation on 19 September 1944. At the time he was flying P-51D 44-13801 C5-M which had been assigned to Lt. Hollis R Nowlin, Port Arthur, TX, until the end of his tour on 10 September 1944.
